“Congratulations, you finally got your own place.” Grace patted Benjamin on the shoulder.

“About time, man.” His buddy, Chris added. “Now you’re a man.”

“Says the man who lives in his parent’s garage.”

Benjamin moved to South Port into a small one bedroom apartment, to celebrate the move, he invited his girlfriend, Grace, her sister, Emma, and his old time friend, Chris. It was just a small gathering, they ordered Chinese food, watched a baseball game on tv, and just hung out.

“First investment is a garbage can.” Emma called over her shoulder.

“Why bother, when the garbage is right outside my door?” Benjamin laughed.

The night was dark, as heavy clouds cried over South Port, and the wind sighed against the business college. Emma creeped from her bedroom to the restroom at the end of the hall, hoping no one else was awake to see her so scantily clad. The hall lights were dimmed, the linoleum cold against her bare feet. She made a mental note to request a robe for Christmas, and escaped into the restroom.

“Welcome to campus kiddo!” Violet-Adele said. “I can’t believe you got your grades up enough to skate in. If you need help studying, you know who to ask.”

“And what are you implying there?” Grace asked.

“Oh nothing. I think my 4.0 GPA, and full ride scholarship speaks for itself.” She winked towards Emma.

Spring hits South Port with beautiful weather and only one severe thunderstorm. The students are antsy for spring break, and the even more anticipated summer vacation. South Port only runs from fall through spring, so all students need to make accommodations outside of campus during the summer months.
