The youngest child of three, and the last child at home, Roman has been feeling left behind by his older siblings. It hadn’t been a big deal when his sister Bea went to EU, but now Monroe is gone, and he took their mutual friends too. The band is broken up, and he is turning 17 next month, and he still hasn’t found a girlfriend. He’s made this the goal before school started up in a month.

He tried asking Molly Welsh out, because she isn’t traditionally attractive, he thought this was a certain win for him. He was wrong.

The boys were in high school, and with Hazel’s Mom living with them, it made sense to downsize. Hazel loved living right off Lincoln Park, that it took waiting before the perfect house became available. It was a two-story, but much more spacious for holidays and hosting, which was very important to Hazel and Mandy.

Irina Schehl celebrates her first birthday with her family, a bigger celebration planned for the weekend.

Her parents are certain that she is the sweetest toddler to have ever been born, and while Peter is ready to start trying for another (this one took several years to conceive after all), Elise is ready to focus on her career and not fertility charts.

Bea had mostly taken her break-up with Jett like a trooper, as her Dad embarrassingly told her. Bea had known that him heading off to university before her might lead to their destruction. But she didn’t really believe that it would. He’d taken her to his Mom’s wedding, he actually seemed like marriage might even be on his mind, like family and her, that they were both important.

She joked with her brothers, and put on a brave face, but she felt shaken.

The kids are thrilled to be back in their own home, and away from the farm. The boys didn’t mind missing out on the wedding, but they all detested staying at their Uncle Finn’s farm for a week. He had told their parents he’d put them to work, but they’d thought it was just something adults said. How wrong they had been!
