Chaz Holmes celebrates his fifteenth birthday with his secret girlfriend, Cicely. She arrives ahead of him, faster on her skates than his walking.
Next month is their one year anniversary, and they’ve never been on an actual date.
The boys were in high school, and with Hazel’s Mom living with them, it made sense to downsize. Hazel loved living right off Lincoln Park, that it took waiting before the perfect house became available. It was a two-story, but much more spacious for holidays and hosting, which was very important to Hazel and Mandy.
After raising children for about forty-six years, it was time for Kenzie and Tyler to downsize their home. Dean was a junior at EU, and it didn’t sound like he’d be needing his old bedroom after graduation. He didn’t know exactly what he was going to do, but he had options, and so they sold their home.
The teachers meet in the faculty room as the school buses pull up outside. Bekah obliged Brooklyn’s request to coach the soccer team, despite her baby being due in the middle of the season.
Neither Bekah nor Rosabella wanted the extra task, and Brooklyn could use the money. Everyone knew that Oliver was studying for his Masters, Bekah especially since he was hoping to replace her best friend, Lucy when she retired.
Morgan had to work on the twins’ actual birthday, so they’d gotten permission to go shopping with some girls from school, and they scheduled the family pool party for later in the month. With great persistence, the girls had talked her into a co-ed birthday party. They insisted that turning fifteen and being banned from boys was archaic, and Morgan wasn’t swayed. It wasn’t until they exclaimed that Lewis had ruined their lives did she relent.
Vivienne and Cicely turn fifteen this month, and are spending the afternoon with their boyfriends. Dating is strictly forbidden until seventeen in the Russo-Traver household, all thanks to their big brother, Lewis getting a girl pregnant in high school.
Cicely had crushed on Alex ever since her Grandma Regina died. Recently they had shared their first kiss, once his girlfriend, Scarlett had left for college. They had broken up, so Cicely didn’t feel guilty. However, she just wasn’t interested in him anymore.

We saved money to get our backyard fenced this spring, and Marshal insisted we needed a garden to teach Penelope the value in nurturing things. I readily agreed, thinking a garden would be less work than a pet, but I may come to eat my own words on that.
