Benjamin Andersen (37 years), Grace (34 years), Ainsley (8 years), Isla (7 years), Tillie (3 3/4 years), Hatty (2 years)

narrated by: Benjamin

It’s been snowing like crazy, which leaves the girls feeling very pent up. Mostly it just means they are cranky, but in the case of Isla, it equals pestering behavior. If she isn’t jumping on the sofa, or antagonizing Ainsley, she is picking on Hatty.

april 2022

The third trimester wait wasn’t exactly new for Grace, she knew that babies came when they were ready. She had plenty to keep her busy in the meantime, all three girls had their birthdays in May and June, and she wanted to test out a new cake recipe while the new baby wasn’t demanding attention and energy.

Finn (49 years), Nicole (49 years), Julius (16 years), Elias (16 years), Zilla (16 years), Lily-Mae (10 years)

narrated by: Elias

Dad was discredited back in 2016, I was ten, and it was all over my head. The basic gist was that Dad could never go back into his Natural Science field at the university, so he’s been babysitting Grace’s daughters ever since. It was supposed to be temporary, so I don’t know why he didn’t try to find a job, but we’ve all grown used to having him and the girls’ around the house.

Oliver McCarthy (24 years), Isaiah Gavigan

narrated by: Oliver

Since graduating from Eastborough, there has been an adjustment for me and Meg. She’s busy now with her finals, graduating herself next month. But most of this time has been spent with her wanting to spend time with me, and not understanding that I’m swamped with grading papers. That doesn’t even count when I add things to the curriculum to fine tune it for my specific students.

2020 elections for mayor

Finally, after years of waiting, I feel prepared to open up some polls and hold an election for the next Mayor of South Port and Millwood. Drawn heavily in inspiration from Carla, let the campaigning commence!

The first candidate is Finn McCarthy. He is married to Nicole and together they have seven children, and four grandchildren. Previously he worked as a Botanist at Eastborough University, but is currently providing childcare for his three granddaughters.

Chris Holmes (32 years), Emma (29 years), Chaz (5 years)

narrated by: Emma

Chris is working second shift, which leaves me and the kid to fend for ourselves at night. I honestly don’t know what to do with him, and he’s not a very demanding kid. I imagine if I had gotten a high maintenance kid, that I would have lost my mind by now. We have a table that my Grandma bought for us, but no one eats at it. He’s perfectly fine to eat a grilled cheese sandwich on the sofa for dinner.

George McCarthy (76 years), Mandy (74 years)

narrated by: Mandy

I had always thought that when I was a grandma, that I would host holidays at my house as my grandparents had, but it just didn’t work out that way. George was in business, but never impressed the higher ups enough to make it past an Executive position, and we decided that staying at home with the kids was the best for our family. It meant that our first family house, was our only family house.
