We got news that our aquarium was awarded the research funding that we requested. It meant two whole months outdoors on the ocean side of Audubon Island, exploring, tagging, really getting our hands dirty. I was listed as Lead Researcher which meant that Avery could help, but she’d have to take my orders and continue to run the aquarium.
Isaiah and Maeve Gavigan’s daughter, Margot turns one the day before they sign on their new house out in Millwood.
They are both eager to give Margot a sibling, and their two bedroom apartment didn’t fit their needs anymore. Maeve is saddened to leave Margot’s nursery behind for some new tenant to paint over. Isaiah has promised that the new house will make an even better nursery.
Isaac Gavigan (29 years), Lauren (27 years)
We are still working opposite shifts, that isn’t something that will change anytime soon unless one of us drop our jobs. Isaac did get promoted to Stock Manager at the grocery store and is actually bringing in a decent chunk of change. I’m still the breadwinner, but another promotion or so, and I believe he may pass me by.

Oliver McCarthy (32 years), Brooklyn Lange (26 years)
Brooklyn loves kids, she wouldn’t have become a teacher if she didn’t. However, loving them, being pregnant with one, and having them in a wedding were not of the same cloth. Oliver’s nieces and nephew tore up their bedroom, and frankly, she was too pregnant and exhausted from the end of year grading to deal with it.
Isaac Gavigan turns 29 this February, and after a hard night of partying, feels lucky that he gets to carry his very drunk wife home. Lauren is going to feel it in the morning, and Isaac thinks that brunch is in order. He’s really hoping that this year will go slower than the last few have; he feels ill-prepared to turn thirty.
Thomas Traver celebrates his fourth birthday this winter. It’s a momentous birthday celebration for Caitlyn as well, she’s survived being a teen Mom, the death of her Mom, being dumped by her boyfriend, and still managed to graduate college. Thomas has always been her inspiration to keep at it, and she’s beyond proud of the boy he is growing into.
Logan Traver celebrates his eleventh birthday and prepares to start sixth grade this month. Family has always been important to him, and when he learned of his half-sister, Eden’s existence, he immediately wanted to befriend her, so Erin isn’t surprised that he’s retained that into his teen years.
He’s glad that he resembles his Mom more than his deadbeat Dad, and has requested a new surname. He’s hopeful that Nico and his Mom will marry, and then he’ll request to have their last name, otherwise he’s thinking Louie like his Mom and Aunt Bethany. He doesn’t think Colin deserves acknowledgement in his life, but Erin is hesitant to agree as he is still young and prone to impulsive decisions.
