Simon and Milo graduated EU at the same time, and somehow Milo sweet talked himself into being Simon’s roommate. Milo left all the work of finding a nice 2-bedroom apartment up to Simon, which annoyed him, but he also wanted the responsibility to pick.

Simon’s a High School Science teacher, and Milo is a Paralegal, which is below his abilities. After his Father had to bribe the Dean to accept his son to Law School, Mr. London decided to make his son earn his living.

Milo stays up late into the evening, working on his coursework. His least favorite is administrative law, which he’s struggling to maintain a passing grade in.

Alice London (29 years), Scarlett Siew (22 years)

Scarlett answered a roommate ad; the pressure from her parents (mostly her Mom) was too much for Scarlett to choose either parent to live with. She wanted to live with her Dad, especially with his diagnosis, but he didn’t really have the room. Truthfully, neither of her parents had a space for her. So she interviewed with Alice London.

Linnea is still working at her sister’s bakery, Love + Flour, something she hadn’t anticipated this far past graduation. It had started as a way to help Paloma while she was pregnant with the twins, then while they were infants, but they’ll turn two next month, and she’s still working the six am shift.

Her Mom had warned her an art degree was a tricky path, and something her Father would have chosen. It’s not the first time her Mom has considered her a dreamer like her late Father, but he isn’t here to give advice on what to do now that she’s grown with a degree no one seems to care about.

eastborough university – miner hall

A whole summer back home, and Ella was back in Miner Hall as a sophomore now. The kinks of freshman year and dormitory living seemed easier this time around, she actually missed the freedom and noises after being gone. Monroe was on campus now, and they hadn’t talked since she’d gone away to EU. She knew he’d kept his word about college, because her sister, Marisol knew everything there was to know about anyone.

Julia and Elias have only been dating for six months, and Alice feels they’re moving too quickly. Elias stays over regularly now that the harvest is over, and Alice would like some time with her own boyfriend without Elias squeezing in the center.

Alice and Martin will be together for two years come March, and he definitely stays in his own bed more than hers.
