The twins turned fifteen, and for reasons unknown to Marisol, her and Rita were fighting. They’d been best friends since preschool, and now her birthday plans were destroyed.

While her social life took a dive, Manny enjoyed the moment he arrived at home after school. He enjoyed learning, however the social game wasn’t his passion like his twin. Him and Nolan were good friends without drama, and who didn’t mind taking breaks to be alone.

spring fever

Principal: Bekah Grimsley
Teachers: Simon Millett and Rosabella Steinman
STUDENT ENROLLMENT

Everyone is struggling to maintain their drive and focus with the promise of summer freedom fragrancing the spring air. Romance also seems to be mingling in the air as well, which makes extra work for the teachers. Rosabella Steinman is covering for Brooklyn while she’s on maternity leave, and she’s rather soft since she just covered for Miriam in the fall, but she taught kindergartners which are less prone to making out.

Bekah knows far too much about the couples in her school, and she happened to see Chaz moving on after Cicely broke up with him this past winter.

Oddly, she saw Cicely smile, as if she were happy for Chaz and Lizzie with their new-found romance. It made Bekah respect the young girl more, seeing the maturity of wanting her ex to be happy.

once more, with feeling

(Millett Household Profile)
Merrill Millett (77 years), Grant (55 years), Leah (52 years), Nolan (13 years)

Leah has been researching how to help Nolan with his parentage. She’s also put him into counseling with Alice London, which has been helping more than Nolan will admit. Just a year prior, she felt she was losing Nolan, even when they were together, his thoughts were festering on things none of them could change. She’s greatly relieved he seems to be getting the help he needs to accept his circumstances.

Grant’s never been a proactive on anything in all his life, so Leah is surprised when he takes initiative with Alice. He calls to confirm appointments, and he calls to see how Nolan is doing. He even asks for tips on things he can do.

While they don’t have a loveless marriage, it’s not without its struggles, and this change in Grant warms Leah’s heart. For all their marriage, she’s felt a second behind Grant’s parents as he never felt strong enough to take a stand before.

(Gonzales Household Profile)
Cesar Gonzales (40 years), Marisol (13 years), Manny (13 years)

Cesar called a family meeting, asking Ella to come home for the weekend from university; it was to announce a new move for the family.

The twins had grown up in the apartment, it was their first home after their Mom died, and they didn’t really recall Annie at all. So it was really the only home they’d known.

lies between us

(Millett Household Profile)

When you find out your sister is your Mom, and your parents are actually your grandparents, you get a pet bird. At least in my experience. I’d wanted a pet bird for years, and they’d decided it was an appropriate time to cave. That was all just over a year ago, and KiKi is my favorite part of home these days.

It isn’t exactly anger, but there is an unhealing wound. Perhaps if I had more time it would begin to subside, but I’m not hopeful.

Every single one of my family members knew the truth, and no one had ever bothered to even give me a hint. Mom and Dad are still my parents, I’ve decided that much. Julia has never even been a great sister to me, Hadley has always had my back, so it doesn’t even compute to consider her as my Mom. There’s a break in my sanity when I even consider that I’m from her.

From her, and who else?
