Elise’s is turning 32, she’d enjoy going downtown to The Red Mill, enjoying her fill of wine while a grandparent took care of Irina. But not only is there no sitter on a weekday available, there isn’t funds in their bank account for such finery.
Peter prepared pork chops and did pick up a red wine to pair with it.
Irina Schehl celebrates her first birthday with her family, a bigger celebration planned for the weekend.
Her parents are certain that she is the sweetest toddler to have ever been born, and while Peter is ready to start trying for another (this one took several years to conceive after all), Elise is ready to focus on her career and not fertility charts.
Etienne Bernard celebrates his 42nd birthday on a particularly stormy spring day. They opt to stay in, and snuggle by their bedroom fire. They moved into their new home in February, but it still has a long way to go before they’ll feel settled.
With the fresh rains and breezes, Violet-Adele’s mood has begun to brighten, and while they still haven’t successfully gotten pregnant, she feels more hopeful than previously.

I managed to earn a promotion at work, now I’m a Studio Designer which means I get to design billboards and covers from books to music. The hours are actually fantastic for when Irina is in school, but I hardly hope to stay stagnant the next four years ether. She is our top priority though, and thankfully I have sometime off work to spend with her.
He had wanted three, she had planned for two.
Nothing had gone as expected, nothing had fit her plan. How naive she had been thinking she could just plan a conception, schedule a pregnancy around sports so her career wouldn’t flounder. She had pitied women who had given themselves up for infants and diapers, but it had taken more than two years for that positive, and she felt ready to barter away anything for two pink lines.
Dr. Morgan had checked them both, and found that it was her. It wasn’t impossible as they would eventually realize, but it wouldn’t be easy. Elise should relinquish any thought of planning a due date, she had suggested gently.
When the pregnancy tests kept showing up negative, Peter eventually suggested they just try for one or maybe they’d be the type of couple to travel the world. He began to paint visuals of this future with only one child or none, a master painter on the canvas, he couldn’t hide his pain from Elise.

Hadley Millett (27 years), Rosabella Steinman (26 years)

I graduated med school last June, and have a fancy MD tacked at the end of my name, but I still have four more years left of residency to be a surgeon. Neil is going to be a General Practitioner, and already has more responsibilities and trust than I do, which is perturbing. I understand that in the end, I will be light years ahead of him, but being treated like I’m ignorant because my residency is longer is asinine.
*huge birthday post! you’ve been warned!*
Isla Andersen celebrates her birthday this summer. She isn’t a fan of subdue things like her big sister Ainsley, and education is not high on her list of important things, but she’s looking forward to more freedom as a teen now. She intends to spend her time lazing around and goofing off, just not at home.
